Beginning Illustrator class is here!

Starting today my Beginning Illustrator class is available to take online at ReneePearson.com! Hundreds of students have already taken this class in it's original form: "Step by Step Design with Illustrator." And this version is improved with new projects, updates and it's now self-paced! There's no specific schedule. Once you sign up, you'll have immediate access to all the video lessons, printable lesson guide, exercise files and a free kit of vector art. And, if you're on the go, you can watch the lessons on your iPhone or iPad.

from the files: air pollution

I happened upon these postcards today, lingering in my files from a few years ago. This was pro bono work for a local environmental goup that unfortunately never made it to print. The concept was provided by the group, and it was a fun challenge to recreate that vintage postcard style typography.

This one is literally vintage as Sonny, our former governor, has since moved on.

Staying on Target

This article from Co. Design dates back to the spring of this year, but I thought it would be an interesting read for anyone who's interested in Target and how they maintain their brand and their design sensibility across all the creative teams they work with.
